Sri Lanka Wildlife Tour

Colombo - Bundala Wildlife Park - Yala National Park - Udawalawe National Park - (6 Days/4 Nights + beach)

Day 1 London/Colombo
Depart London-Heathrow by Sri Lankan/Emirates overnight flight.

Day 2 Colombo
On arrival in Colombo you will be met and transferred to The Ceylon Continental or the Taj Samudra for overnight (Half Board). Afternoon city sightseeing tour.

Day 3 Colombo/Hambantota
Morning drive to Hambantota, visiting the historic Galle Dutch Fortress en route. Check in at the Oasis Hotel, your base for the next two nights (Half Board). In the afternoon visit the Bundala Wild life Park, known for its many waterbird and migrant bird species, including flamingoes.

Day 4 Kandy
Morning visit to the Yala National Park, home to leopards, elephants, samba, wild boar and bears. In the afternoon drive to Kalamatiya, where the reservoirs attract many large water birds - including storks, herons and egrets.

Day 5 Hambantota/Embilipitiya
After breakfast depart for Embilipitiya and check-in at the Centauria Inn Safari Lodge - Half Board). In the afternoon visit the Udawalawe National Park, where in 1995 the Wildlife Department opened an 'Elephant Transit Home' to house orphaned elephants before their release into the wild. Large herds of elephant and such deer species as spotted deer, sambhur, barking deer and langur, wild boar, water buffalo and jackal, as well as much bird life, can be seen here.

Day 6 Embilipitiya/Wadduwa
After breakfast drive to Ratanapura, visiting Gem Mines and the Museum. Then continue to the beach hotel of your choice for the balance of your stay in Sri Lanka.
