CHENNAI (MADRAS) - MADURAI - PERIYAR - KOCHI (COCHIN) - BANDIPUR - MYSORE - HASSAN - BANGALORE - (13 nights)
A slightly shorter alternative to our 'Classic South India' tour, linking Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and (briefly) Kerala in a journey through some of the loveliest scenery and richest cultures of this southern tip of the Subcontinent. Vistas of palms, rice-paddies and plantations offer you a glimpse of the exotic India of the South, as do countless resplendent temples and chance encounters with the ancient ways and traditions of an often seemingly unchanging rural lifestyle. Add the unique excitement of game-viewing in a remote National Park and the pulse of modern-day energy in Chennai and Bangalore. They're all part of the amazingly rich tapestry of Southern India - to which this itinerary does full justice!
