1 - London /Kota kinabalu
Depart
London Heathrow by Malaysia Airlines flight to Kota
Kinabalu via Kuala Lumpur.
Day
2 - Kota
kinabalu
On
arrival at Kota Kinabalu transfer
to The Magellan Sutera and Spa Hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 3 - Mabul
Island
Early
morning transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for the flight to Tawau
and overland journey to Semporna Jetty, where a 35 minute speedboat
crossing brings you to the comfortable Sipadan
Mabul Island Resort on Pulau Mabul, overlooking the beautiful
waters of the Celebes Sea. Check into your traditionally styled
beach chalet accommodation, complete with en suite facilities, hot
shower, ceiling fan and air-conditioning! - Full board.
Day 4/9 -
Sipadan Mabul Island Resort
Seven
days (or longer stays if required) to enjoy this wonderful natural
environment, with three boat dives daily and unlimited shore dives.
There will also be opportunities to dive at Sipadan.
Day 10 -
Lahad Datu - Borneo Rainforest Lodge
Depart
Mabul Island Resort and transfer to Semporna. Travel 5 hours overland
from Semporna to the Borneo
Rainforest Lodge (one stop at Lahad Datu town). Overnight at
The Borneo Rainforest Lodge - Full board.
Day 11 - Borneo
Rainforest Lodge
Early
morning birdwalk before breakfast. Spend the whole day exploring
the forest for birds and mammals, leading up to an escarpment with
ancient burial coffins. Trek to a waterfall and swim in refreshing
rock pools. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, jungle walk through
trails leading to a canopy walkway. Overnight at the Borneo
Rainforest Lodge - Full board.
Day 12 -
Sukau - Sukau rainforest Lodge
Depart
Borneo Rainforest Lodge and travel overland for two hours to The
Sukau Rainforest Lodge. Overnight at The Sukau Rainforest Lodge
- Full board.
Day 13 -
Sukau
- Sukau rainforest Lodge
Wake
up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning cruise up
the Kinabatangan River to view birds and wildlife. Proceed to the
Kelenanap ox-bow lake for a short jungle walk (if weather permits)
Experience the wilderness of Borneo. You have the option to participate
in our conservation project by planting trees at Borneo Eco Tours
64 acre adopted land at Tenegang. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
In the afternoon, proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife.
After dinner a optional night safari cruise spotting nocturnal animals,
crocodiles and birds. Overnight at The
Sukau Rainforest Lodge - Full board.
Day 14 - Sukau - Sandakan - Kota Kinabalu
Transfer
from the Sukau Rainforest Lodge to Sandakan
(2 hour boat journey). Visit the Sepilok Orang utan Sanctuary. Transfer
to Sandakan Airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. You will be
met on arrival at Kota Kinabalu
and a transfer provided to The Magellan
Sutra & Spa Hotel - breakfast and lunch.
Day 15
Morning
at leisure. Evening transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for your Malaysia
Airlines flight for Kuala Lumpur and connecting flight for London
Heathrowt.
