Depart
London-Heathrow by Sri Lankan/Emirates Airlines overnight flight.
Day 2 Colombo/Dambulla
You will be met on arrival and transferred to The Culture Club Hotel on Dambulla Lake, your home for the next seven nights (Half Board).

3/8 Dambulla
This popular 92-room Culture Club enjoys a delightful lakeside location and offers its guest a full programme of activities, including a swimming pool, pool bar, ayurvedic health centre, cultural shows, jungle trekking, bird-watching and bullock-cart rides. Many optional excursions to nearby attractions available to guests and the assistance of our representatives may be sought in booking any of these.

Trincomalee: Miles of glorious white-sand beach where you can snorkel, dive or just laze in the sun
Anuradhapura: Sri Lanka's first capital
Dambulla: A vast isolated rock mass, some of whose famous frescoes are over 2,000 years old. There's also a colossal figure of the recumbent Buddha, some 50 ft long, carved from the rock
Kandy: The last royal citadel, picturesquely situated among mountains, lakes and rivers
Polonnaruwa: A medieval city and one-time capital of Sri Lanka, with many relatively well-preserved monuments
Sigiriya: A World Heritage Site, this spectacular former royal fortress is one of Sri Lanka's major attractions
Bird-watching: Enjoy a relaxed walk with a local ornithologist through the surrounding countryside, home to more than 130 species of birds
Day
9 Dambulla/Colombo
Leave for Colombo. En route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage for abandoned and orphaned wild elephants. Overnight at the Trans Asia Hotel in Colombo (Room & Breakfast)
Day 10 Colombo/London (or Sri Lanka Beach Hotel or the Maldives)
Transfer to the airport for your overnight Sri Lankan Airlines flight to London-Heathrow. Alternatively transfer to the beach hotel of your choice for an extended stay in Sri Lanka - or fly on to the Malé to conclude your holiday with a relaxing beach finale in the Maldives.
Day 11 London
Arrive London-Heathrow early morning.
