DISCOVER MALAYSIA     Tioman Island       Tioman is perhaps the loveliest of Malaysia's 64 South China Sea islands - an exotic setting of volcanic peaks, tumbling waterfalls, lush jungles and coconut palm-lined beaches. Reached by express ferry from mainland Mersing (1.5 hours) or Singapore (4.5 hours) - or by air from'KL' or Singapore - Pulau Tioman is unquestionably the stuff that escapists' dreams are made of! Though the largest of Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast islands, it is sparsely populated.
